Personalised Clinical Nutrition for Women’s Midlife Health

Perimenopause is more than a pause

It can change how you sleep, how you think, how you feel in your own body. Rather than a one size fits all approach, perimenopause calls for dedicated, specialist support that works alongside your existing healthcare team.

At Femme Nutrition Australia, Janelle works exclusively with women navigating perimenopause. She combines evidence-based clinical nutrition with a deep understanding of the factors that shape your health beyond a blood test. Your social environment, your physical environment, your individual characteristics and behaviours. These all matter. And they're all part of the conversation.

Consultations are available in person at Sunnybank Hills or via telehealth across Australia.

All prices are GST inclusive.

How It Works

1. Book your Initial Consultation

Every woman starts here. Janelle listens to your story, assesses your health history and builds a clear picture of what's actually going on. Physically, nutritionally and in the broader context of your life.

2. Janelle recommends your pathway

Based on your consultation, Janelle recommends the program that fits your situation. Where clinically appropriate, she may also recommend specialist testing such as DUTCH hormonal analysis or compounding support.

3. Your personalised program begins

Your eating plan, supplement recommendations and lifestyle strategies are built around you. Where you are in your transition, what your body needs and what's realistic for your life.

The starting point for every client

  • 1 × 60 minute Initial Consultation

She considers the determinants of health that influence your wellbeing: your support system, your environment, your individual story.

Available as a standalone consultation or as the first session of a program.

This is also the appropriate consultation for women referred by a GP or allied health practitioner.

Where Are You in Your Transition?

Every woman's experience is different. Whether your transition is happening naturally, as a result of surgery, medical treatment or an underlying condition, Janelle provides the same level of dedicated, evidence-based support. During your Initial Consultation, she establishes where you are and what level of care is right for you.

Approaching perimenopause (mid-30s to early 40s). The subtle shifts are beginning. Cycle changes, energy dips, disrupted sleep. Getting support early can change the trajectory of your experience.

Early to mid perimenopause (typically 40s). Things are becoming harder to ignore. Irregular cycles, hot flushes, mood changes, brain fog. This is when most women reach out for professional support.

Late perimenopause (approaching your final period). Hormonal shifts are significant. Symptoms may intensify or change altogether. Detailed assessment and specialist testing can bring real clarity.

Postmenopause (12+ months since your last period). A new chapter. Focus often moves towards prevention. Bone health, cardiovascular health and long-term quality of life.

Surgical menopause Following a hysterectomy or oophorectomy, menopause can be sudden and intense. Nutritional and lifestyle support can play a significant role in managing the transition and supporting long-term health.

Early or premature menopause Some women experience menopause before 40 (premature) or before 45 (early), whether naturally, due to primary ovarian insufficiency, autoimmune conditions, genetic factors or as a result of medical treatments such as chemotherapy or radiation. The nutritional considerations are unique and deserve specialist attention.

Not sure where you sit? Your Initial Consultation is designed to work that out together.
